Helloo! I’m Ella!
I’m a UX Designer based in the Bay Area crafting beautiful, intuitive, and functional user experiences that delight users and drive meaningful impact for businesses. In other words, I’m just a human bean creating cool, useful digital things for other humans. :)

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
My 3 pillars to design success

Empathy
By immersing myself in a user's world, I can deeply understand their behaviors, needs, and challenges. This lets me create intuitive, inclusive, and resonant experiences that truly solve their problems.

Collaboration
Collaboration is at the heart of my process! I strive to foster a supportive environment where every team member shines with their unique strengths and ideas.

Growth
Continuous growth and learning are essential! Each project helps me expand my skills. With every project, I embrace challenges and push past my comfort zone to deliver increasingly innovative and effective solutions.
MY UX JOURNEY
UX, video production, then back to UX
I first dabbled in UX in 2020 at UC Davis’s Design Interactive. But like many college students, I explored other interests, including video production as a director at Aggie Studios.
Then, after graduating with a B.A. in Cognitive Science in 2023, I accumulated a deeper curiosity for human behavior...which led me back to UX.
Exploring UX again, I served as a Lead UX Writer at Tech Fleet’s Taíno Language Project in late 2023, where I helped revitalize Indigenous culture by crafting content for a cultural learning app.
Now, as a UX Designer at UX Foundations, I’ve been redesigning EYC Academy's website to increase enrollment and promote personalized education.
As for my next steps, I am open to entry-level full-time, part-time, or contract B2C UX design or UX writing roles within any industry, preferably e-commerce or edtech.
WHY UX?
“Tiny drops of water make a mighty ocean!”
In UX design, small details make a big impact. Blending design, psychology, and business theories with our personal beliefs, phenomena, and experiences to solve challenges and improve lives is, to put it simply, incredibly rewarding. I love seeing the positive impact I’m making!
OUTSIDE OF UX
Cue Christina Perri’s “But I’m ooonly humannn”
At my university video production studio, I once was awarded the superlative of “Most Likely to be the Studio’s Hannah Montana.” To this day, that could not be farther from the truth.
“UX designer” is just one of the many identities I have! I’m the youngest child and jokester of my family, a dancer with insane stage presence, and a reader with too many miscellaneous romantic quotes memorized (thanks Bridgerton).
I find fulfillment in UX design, but I think I find more fulfillment in being human. And by being human and having gone through human things, that makes me a good designer already! With all of the formal skills and education but also unique, life experiences I’ve had, I’m able to create digital experiences that are, well, human!
